I grew up in Europe but found my musical soul in the basements and clubs of the American Midwest and coasts. That back-and-forth — between European cool and American warmth — is in every set I play. I've played everywhere from dance clubs to festivals of thousands, in the US, Europe, and Brazil — now based in Amsterdam.
The dance floor is a place where people can truly let go and live their true lives. That's why my longest residencies have been at Bloomington's foremost dance clubs — the Root Cellar, a literal underground basement where things get rowdy, and The Back Door, a queer club whose crowds taught me everything about what a night out can really mean.
With fellow DJs I helped build a dance scene from the ground up — slowly growing something where there was little before. Over time the dance floors got packed and a new generation of DJs had found their footing. This is my mission: to create scenes, experiences, and places for people to come together and be loved. The dance floor is the most democratic place I know — everyone belongs, everybody is loved, everyone dances.
Musically curious to a fault. My first loves are warm, soulful, groovy house — disco, italo, and everything in between. If there's a diva on the vocal and a piano or organ chord underneath, I'm done for. But I've never been able to stay in one place for long. After all, four decades of pop hits live in my head rent-free.
I mix on vinyl, but I'm equally at home on any club setup — analog or digital, whatever's in the booth. Ask me about my record collection.
